hello band, JieYing herethis post is for the sec4s ... Sec4s who are NOT taking any exam on the 29th May are given the option to come for band practices. It is NOT compulsory for them to come for practices ONLY at this period of time! Sec4s who ARE TAKING the exams ARE NOT ALLOW TO COME BACK at this period of time. Only after their O' level Mother Tongue Exam, they suppose to come back for practices so as to prepare for the BalloonHat Festival !!! So Sec4s ... hey band!!jonathan here. there are some matters which need to be clarified 1. Handphones. NO usage of handphones during band practices or sectionals. provided you are given permission or excused. 2.Attire. -during band practice, you MUST wear your band tee, TUCKED IN at all times, and your school long pants/school skirt/pe shorts. even if you are wearing your band tee outside school, before and after band practice, anywhere at anytime, you must tuck in your shirt at all times. -you muz wear your band tee before your report or fall in for band. you are not allowed to change into your band tee halfway during band practice. your band tee is made for you to wear during band practices and you can also be recognised as a unity band member =) tucking in your shirt will also make you look smarter n neater too. if you are proud to be a unity band member, then you will nvr complain =) -members who do not have the band tee (eg. sec 1s) are excused from wearing band tee during practices. you must wear band tee for band practice, but you do not have to wear band tee during sectionals. 3.Fall-in. -we will always fall-in outside the music room, unless e venue is changed. -report outside the music room 5-10min before the time to fall-in. when the band fall-in at 2pm and you are in the toilet or refilling your water bottle or anywhere else, you will still be punished for not falling-in on time even if you have reported outside the music room earlier. if u need to use the toilet urgently or anything, ask the leaders for permission so u can be excused for falling-in late. as long as you do not fall-in on time with a valid reason, you will be punished. -also, do not take your own sweet time when you fall-in or set up your instrument or move the percussion or anything!! punctuality is not only everyone's responsibility, but it will also save everyone's time. 4.Everyone's responsibility. -not only should we be punctual, we should also make sure that we r taking good care of our instruments and music. practice whenever you can. practice makes perfect. -dates and times of practices for upcoming band practices and events will be put up on the notice board. you have to check the dates and times and make sure you r free on that day and time. every band practice is compulsory. and it is your responsibility to make sure you r free for every practice. if you have something important and really cannot make it, you must inform: 1. teachers-in-charge 2. band leaders 3. band secretary 4. your respective SL[if you are the SL, tell someone else from you section] -efficiency will save alot of time n remember, cannot be late, can be early!! =DD see you soon =) _______signing off` Sunday, May 14, 2006, 10:46 AM
HIIIIII PPL!guess some of your exams are alrdy over yea? but for the upper sec its another 2more days to the end isnt it?(: welll. a reminder. the band practise will be resuming on this coming tues, 16/5. from 2.30pm to 6pm. have a good lunch and as usual, report half an hour early which is 2pm outside the music room in your band top. as for the reason why the band is resuming in such a rush is becos the balloon hat festival is in jus like 3weeks time away? and we still have to memorise the scores and stuff. so do not complain.(: oh btw. pls check out the upcoming may and june concerts by simply scrolling down. cyas guys. and good luck for the rest of your exams! =DD ; szejie Saturday, May 13, 2006, 9:40 PM
